Electrician

About the Role

WPS is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician to join its responsive maintenance team. This role involves providing top-quality electrical repairs and installations within social housing properties located in the Barnsley area.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrical repairs, fault diagnostics, and installations in both occupied and vacant properties.
• Ensure that all tasks comply strictly with up-to-date electrical regulations and safety standards.
• Attend to emergency call-outs and urgent maintenance needs promptly.
• Collaborate effectively with tenants, housing officers, and fellow tradespeople.

Qualifications & Experience

• Possession of Level 3 NVQ or an equivalent qualification in Electrical Installation.
• Certification in 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• 2391 Inspection & Testing certification or its equivalent.
• Background in social housing or domestic maintenance work is highly preferred.
• A full UK driving licence is required.
