Job Overview

Due to ongoing expansion, a well-established firm in South-East Melbourne seeks an experienced Electrical Estimator with a minimum of 4 years in estimation. The role involves ensuring the preparation of precise and competitive tenders for electrical service projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive cost estimates and tender packages for electrical service projects.
• Analyze drawings, technical specifications, and tender documents thoroughly.
• Perform quantity take-offs and evaluate required materials.
• Gather and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Identify risks and potential opportunities during the tender process.
• Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and delivery teams.
• Provide support in bid presentations and during tender negotiations.
• Keep detailed records and maintain cost databases accurately.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in commercial construction or building services.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, associated services, and installation processes.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications effectively.
• Strong commercial insight coupled with analytical abilities.
• Attention to detail and capability to handle multiple tenders concurrently.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with estimating software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
