Job Overview
As an Electrical Engineer, you will collaborate with seasoned engineers on electrical distribution design projects across New Zealand. This role is ideal for someone with 2-3 years of experience looking to enhance their technical expertise while contributing to the country’s electrical network initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to designing and delivering electrical distribution projects.
- Create design documentation, technical drawings, reports, and calculations.
- Support senior engineers in developing practical engineering solutions for clients.
- Coordinate efforts with field teams, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance of designs with industry standards, client expectations, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, and successful execution.
- Help resolve technical challenges during project implementation.
- Participate in site visits and inspections when necessary.
- Maintain detailed and accurate project records and documents.
- Develop strong professional relationships with clients and internal teams.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 2 to 3 years of experience specifically in electrical distribution design within New Zealand.
- Good understanding of electrical network design principles and relevant industry standards.
- Proficiency with design software and technical documentation preparation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively in team settings.
- Excellent organizational skills, with aptitude for prioritizing multiple tasks.
- A proactive mindset and eagerness to learn from more experienced engineers.
