Airworthiness Engineer - Mechanical

Position Overview

Join Air New Zealand as an Airworthiness Engineer, where your engineering expertise will directly impact the safety, operational reliability, and efficiency of the airline's aircraft fleet. Key Duties

• Evaluate technical data and repair documentation to devise effective, practical engineering solutions that maintain aircraft safety and reliability.
• Create comprehensive technical reports and recommendations to support informed engineering decisions.
• Leverage your mechanical aircraft background to investigate and resolve intricate technical challenges.
• Provide influential technical guidance to stakeholders within the airline, contributing to crucial decision-making processes.
• Collaborate and negotiate with suppliers and internal teams to secure advantageous technical and commercial results.
• Engage with aviation regulatory bodies on technical subjects to ensure ongoing compliance and airworthiness.
• Support initiatives aimed at enhancing engineering performance and shaping the airline's operational future.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of two years of experience in mechanical roles involving large commercial aircraft.
• Preferably hold a qualification in Aerospace or Aviation Engineering, or possess equivalent relevant experience.
• Practical maintenance experience in aircraft environments is advantageous.
• Strong analytical abilities and critical thinking skills, capable of formulating sound solutions and positively influencing outcomes.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capacity to engage diverse technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proficient computer skills; familiarity with SAP software is a plus but not mandatory.

Salary Range: NZD 100812 to 126012 annually, commensurate with experience and skills.
