Role Overview

The Electrical BIM Modeler will be responsible for creating and maintaining comprehensive electrical Building Information Models for diverse construction initiatives. This role involves daily tasks such as generating and updating 3D electrical models, producing coordinated construction documentation, and collaborating closely with architecture, structural, and MEP teams to identify and resolve design clashes, guaranteeing design coherence. The candidate will interpret design inputs, adhere to industry standards and local electrical codes, and assist project documentation from design through construction phases. This position is based onsite in Thrissur, Kerala, requiring frequent interaction with stakeholders and other discipline modelers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D electrical BIM models.
• Create coordinated construction drawings consistent with project requirements.
• Collaborate with architectural, structural, and MEP teams for clash detection and resolution.
• Interpret design inputs to ensure compliance with relevant standards and electrical codes.
• Support documentation processes throughout design and construction stages.

Qualification and Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency in BIM practices related to electrical modeling and workflows, including 3D modeling and coordination.
• Understanding of Architecture and MEP integration to facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Skilled in preparing and interpreting construction drawings including layouts, schematics, and detailed documentation.
• Experienced using BIM software such as Revit or comparable tools with knowledge of applicable electrical standards and codes.
• Holder of a diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, preferably with experience in construction or engineering consulting.
• Exhibits strong attention to detail, ability to meet project deadlines, and effective team communication skills.
• Experience in clash detection, participation in coordination meetings, and model-based quantity take-offs is considered advantageous.
• Minimum of 4 years hands-on experience in relevant roles.
