Role Overview

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled BIM Coordination Engineer to join their dynamic team in Riyadh. This role involves meticulous coordination and validation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) efforts to support complex construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and approve contractor BIM models at LOD 400 and as-built documentation at LOD 500, ensuring alignment with Employer Information Requirements (EIR).
  • Verify strict adherence of contractor deliverables to the project's EIR and the authorised BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
  • Integrate multidisciplinary models—including architecture, structure, MEP, utilities, and infrastructure—into comprehensive federated models utilizing Autodesk Navisworks.
  • Conduct formal BIM coordination meetings to resolve intricate spatial conflicts across multiple trades prior to site execution.
  • Maintain robust communication and collaboration with different technical disciplines to address coordination challenges and model updates.
  • Engage relevant stakeholders, end-users, and asset owners throughout BIM implementation phases.
  • Oversee and track activities within the project's Common Data Environment (CDE).
  • Assess the main contractor's 4D planning and construction simulations to detect any scheduling or logistical conflicts related to structures.
  • Manage external collaborations vital to fulfilling the BIM strategy objectives.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering.
  • At least 8 years of design experience stemming from Civil Engineering or Infrastructure disciplines.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working within the GCC region.
  • Professional memberships and charterships relevant to the field are mandatory.
  • Consultancy background with projects including buildings, public spaces, roads, bridges, tunnels, and infrastructure is essential.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English, enabling effective communication of technical and non-technical matters with clients, management, and project teams.
