Earth On Mapping Consulting is a geospatial services company based in Bhubaneswar, Odisha focused on advanced mapping solutions using LiDAR technology.
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated LiDAR Engineer with 6 months to 2 years of experience to join our team remotely. This role involves working on international geospatial mapping projects, applying expertise in LiDAR data handling and terrain modeling to help shape the future of geospatial technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Classify point cloud data accurately for mapping purposes.
- Conduct Digital Terrain Model (DTM) and Digital Surface Model (DSM) classification.
- Extract features and perform vectorization from LiDAR datasets.
- Generate Digital Elevation Models (DEM) and contour maps.
- Model terrain utilizing LiDAR data effectively.
- Process LiDAR datasets with attention to quality control and validation.
- Interpret geospatial data for accurate mapping deliverables.
Preferred Software Experience
- TerraScan
- TerraModeler
- TerraPhoto
- Global Mapper
- MicroStation and PowerDraft including MicroStation CONNECT Edition
Candidate Profile
- Detail-focused and technically proficient in LiDAR data technologies.
- Strong enthusiasm for LiDAR and geospatial disciplines.
