Job description
Position Overview
This role involves warmly welcoming guests and escorting them to their rooms, opening doors and assisting visitors as they enter or leave the premises. The Doorman provides information about property facilities, services, operational hours, and local attractions. Responsibilities include explaining room features such as use of keys, mini-bars, in-room safes, and arranging valet or laundry services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist guests by transporting their luggage to and from guest rooms or designated areas.
- Manage luggage storage and retrieval as needed.
- Help guests get in and out of vehicles, including assisting with loading and unloading luggage.
- Provide directions and arrange transportation such as taxis, shuttles, or limousine services, accurately recording advance requests.
- Communicate parking policies to guests and visitors.
- Uphold company policies, report any accidents or unsafe conditions promptly.
- Maintain awareness of unauthorized persons on the property.
- Present a professional and clean appearance and safeguard confidential information.
- Greet guests with genuine appreciation, anticipate their service needs, including assisting individuals with disabilities.
- Use clear, professional communication and proper telephone etiquette.
- Foster positive relationships with colleagues and comply with quality standards.
- Performance of physical tasks such as standing, walking, running, lifting objects up to 50 pounds unassisted and heavier items with assistance, moving on uneven surfaces, and bending or stooping as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- No prior related work or supervisory experience required.
- No specific licenses or certifications necessary.
