Role Overview
The Distribution Centre (DC) Storeperson ensures timely and precise dispatch of stock to retail stores, aligning with customer needs. The role demands cooperation, focus on workplace safety, and adaptability to evolving business requirements. Central to this position is supporting the mission to "connect communities with the products they need and love" and contributing meaningfully to the DC's efficiency and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and assemble orders for scheduled delivery to stores.
- Develop proficiency with voice picking technology and manual handling equipment operation.
- Maintain adherence to safety protocols and company policies to foster a responsible work environment.
- Operate effectively within a fast-moving, dynamic team environment valuing precision and timeliness.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain an organized, clean warehouse setting.
Candidate Profile
- Ability to repeatedly handle items weighing up to 20 kilograms, enhancing physical capability.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork.
- Previous experience in picking or packing roles is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Willingness to learn and comfortably adapt to using warehouse technology and equipment.
- Demonstrated commitment to working during busy periods to meet operational demands.
