We seek a Director for SoC Verification to lead within the System Solutions Group. This leadership role demands robust expertise in complex SoC verification combined with organizational oversight. The ideal candidate anticipates risks, manages multi-protocol verification challenges, and balances delivery across expanding project scopes without compromising quality. Emphasis is placed on developing leadership skills within teams and establishing solid verification standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and enhance multiple SoC verification teams delivering customer-centric services for sectors including automotive, aerospace, defense, and HPC.
• Establish and implement SSG-wide verification strategies encompassing methodologies, signoff criteria, VIP/tool deployment, and reusable testing frameworks.
• Plan organizational needs such as hiring, succession, performance management, and skill development to scale verification capabilities effectively.
• Collaborate closely with sales and account teams to align project scope, assess risks, prioritize resource allocation, and meet customer objectives.
• Act as the executive technical authority for complex verification issues on multi-domain and advanced-node designs.
• Define clear accountability for managers and tech leads, promoting the usage of Synopsys VCS, Verdi, and VIP tools based on project insights.
• Develop and maintain high-level client relationships to foster long-term partnerships positioning Synopsys as the preferred verification services provider.

Impact of the Role

• Enable timely tape-outs of intricate SoCs, influencing product launches across AI, automotive, aerospace, and HPC industries.
• Create scalable verification standards that improve coverage, shorten turnaround times, and accelerate project ramp-ups.
• Develop leadership within verification teams to bolster Synopsys’ capacity for managing substantial complex engagements.
• Drive strategic customer engagements and capacity planning, influencing adoption of Synopsys verification technologies.
• Shape organizational structures that form the foundation of SSG verification growth over several years.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
• Over 15 years of hands-on verification experience at SoC, subsystem, or IP level including extensive leadership responsibilities.
• Advanced expertise in UVM methodology, coverage-driven closure, verification planning, and debugging complex processor-based SoC architectures.
• Track record of leading large-scale verification teams or multi-project groups through all phases including customer signoff.
• Strong knowledge of protocols such as PCIe, Ethernet, USB, DDR, AMBA interconnects; proficiency with Synopsys VCS, Verdi, and VIP tools.
• Proven ability to build organizational structures, foster leadership, and collaborate with sales and senior customers on scoping and escalations.
• Experience with ARM-based SoCs, automotive safety verification, or emulation processes is highly desirable.
