Role Overview and Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized support to persons with developmental disabilities aimed at promoting independence, dignity, and community integration.
• Assist with everyday living activities including meal preparation, cleaning, personal hygiene, grooming, and transportation.
• Encourage and facilitate involvement in social outings, shopping, and various community engagements.
• Aid clients in achieving their personal development goals and recognize their progress.
• Advocate for client choice, autonomy, and self-empowerment.
• Maintain accurate and thorough records of care provided, client activities, and progress details.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues for continuous, high-quality support delivery.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Possession of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Successful completion of background checks and required training programs.
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation with proof of insurance (primary or secondary).
• Ability to perform duties safely and respectfully in diverse home and community settings.
• Possession of compassion, reliability, and a strong motivation to positively impact individuals' lives.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or autism, including administration of Individual Activity Support Plans and Plans of Service and Supports.
• Familiarity with behavior support techniques such as redirection, visual cues, and modifying environments.
