About the Role

Help at Home seeks compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professionals to provide in-home support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). This position focuses on assisting clients to live independently in their homes and participate actively in their communities. Compensation ranges from $13 to $15 per hour with weekly pay.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities including cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene, grooming, and transportation
• Encourage and support client participation in social and community engagements such as shopping and social events
• Facilitate achievement of personal goals and celebrate progress
• Promote client autonomy, choice, and self-advocacy
• Maintain accurate documentation of care activities and progress
• Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure consistent, high-quality support

Required Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• High school diploma or equivalent education
• Successful completion of background check and required training
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and insurance proof (primary or secondary)
• Ability to work safely and respectfully in clients' homes and community environments
• Compassion, reliability, and strong motivation to positively impact lives

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience supporting individuals with I/DD or autism, including implementation of Individual Activity Support Plans (ASP) and Plans of Service and Supports (PSS)
• Familiarity with behavior support techniques such as redirection, visual prompts, and environmental adjustments
