About the Role
Help at Home seeks compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professionals to provide in-home support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). This position focuses on assisting clients to live independently in their homes and participate actively in their communities. Compensation ranges from $13 to $15 per hour with weekly pay.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with daily living activities including cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene, grooming, and transportation
- Encourage and support client participation in social and community engagements such as shopping and social events
- Facilitate achievement of personal goals and celebrate progress
- Promote client autonomy, choice, and self-advocacy
- Maintain accurate documentation of care activities and progress
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure consistent, high-quality support
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Successful completion of background check and required training
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and insurance proof (primary or secondary)
- Ability to work safely and respectfully in clients' homes and community environments
- Compassion, reliability, and strong motivation to positively impact lives
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience supporting individuals with I/DD or autism, including implementation of Individual Activity Support Plans (ASP) and Plans of Service and Supports (PSS)
- Familiarity with behavior support techniques such as redirection, visual prompts, and environmental adjustments
