About the Role

Help at Home is looking for compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professionals to provide in-home and community support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Key Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living tasks including personal care, cooking, cleaning, and transportation.
• Encourage and support participation in community and social activities like shopping and events.
• Help clients achieve personal milestones and celebrate their progress.
• Promote client choice, independence, and self-advocacy skills.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided, activities, and client progress.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent and quality care.

Eligibility and Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Successful completion of background check and required training.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with proof of insurance.
• Ability to provide safe and respectful care in clients’ homes and community settings.
• Strong compassion, reliability, and a commitment to positively impact others.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or autism.
• Familiarity with Individual Activity Support Plans (ASP) and Plans of Service and Supports (PSS).
• Knowledge of basic behavioral support techniques such as redirection, visual prompts, and environmental adjustments.
