Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care that helps participants grow, learn, and live well
- Build genuine, positive relationships with those you support
- Exercise trust and autonomy from leadership to act in the best interest of participants
- Encourage and assist participants in joining community activities and enjoying favored hobbies
- Support developmental goals such as budgeting, exercising, and maintaining nutrition
- Assist individuals with personal hygiene and support those with behavioral challenges and complex needs
Qualifications and Expectations
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: At least six months’ experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination
- Key skills include communication, adaptability, multitasking, teamwork, and time management
- Essential personal attributes: patience, compassion, reliability, and responsibility
- A valid driver's license, access to a registered vehicle, and proof of insurance are required
