Primary Responsibilities

• Providing one-on-one support to individuals with developmental disabilities to promote independent living both at home and within the community
• Assisting with daily tasks such as meal preparation, housekeeping, personal hygiene, and transportation
• Encouraging engagement in social and community activities like shopping and events
• Supporting individuals in achieving personal goals and recognizing their accomplishments
• Fostering choice, independence, and self-advocacy skills
• Maintaining precise documentation of care provided, activities, and progress
• Effectively communicating with team members to ensure consistent, high-quality support

Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum age of 18 years
• Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent
• Successful passage of background checks and completion of required training
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance (primary or secondary)
• Ability to work safely and respectfully in clients’ homes and community environments
• A compassionate attitude, reliability, and commitment to making a positive difference

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities or autism, including applying Individual Activity Support Plans (ASP) and Plans of Service and Supports (PSS)
• Familiarity with basic behavior support techniques such as redirection, visual cues, and environmental adaptations
