Detail Specialist (Flat Rate)

Job Overview

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Detail Specialists at Teph Seal Auto Appearance, a prominent auto detailing and reconditioning company serving dealerships nationwide. This role operates on a flat rate pay system and requires a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service in a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality detailing services including washing, waxing, buffing, vacuuming, and cleaning vehicle interiors and exteriors.
• Maintain the shop facilities to support excellence in service delivery.
• Respond promptly and courteously to customer inquiries and complaints to ensure satisfaction.
• Perform additional duties such as cleaning and degreasing engine compartments, applying protective chemicals, and handling dyes/paints on vehicle surfaces as needed.
• Operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles as required.
• Adhere strictly to company uniform and grooming policies.

Working Conditions

• Physically demanding tasks including constant bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), reaching, squatting, and entry/exit from vehicles.
• Work may be performed outdoors under varying weather conditions.
• Interaction with multiple vehicles during the workday.
• Use of OSHA-approved cleaning chemicals and waxes.
• Frequent manual dexterity activities involving spine, hands, wrists, and fingers.
• Maintain high attention to visual and auditory detail to ensure perfection in work quality.
• Operate with urgency to respect customer time.

Qualifications and Skills

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum experience options: Detail Specialist 1 (some experience) or Detail Specialist 2 (2+ years experience).
• Strong ability to learn quickly and follow detailed instructions.
• Effective teamwork skills and commitment to punctuality.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays as necessary.
• Respect and care for customer vehicles at all times.
