Job Overview
Join WSP in Riyadh as a Design Manager - Architecture, contributing to major projects that span residential communities, mixed-use developments, retail centers, commercial buildings, and hospitality establishments. This role offers an opportunity to be part of a developer's project delivery team, working in a multidisciplinary environment where your expertise will drive high-quality, practical, and commercially sound design outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage architectural design consultants across all phases of project progression.
- Review and coordinate all design documentation, including concept, schematic, detailed, and tender stages.
- Ensure design solutions fully comply with project briefs and fulfill quality, functionality, operational, and commercial criteria.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams such as structural, MEP, landscape, interior design, and infrastructure professionals.
- Oversee design schedules, deliverables, and significant project milestones.
- Engage actively in design workshops, stakeholder consultations, and technical meetings.
- Identify potential design risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to value engineering and design optimization efforts.
- Facilitate obtaining approvals from relevant governing bodies and project stakeholders.
- Prepare comprehensive design reports, presentations, and updates for senior leadership.
Qualifications and Experience
- Academic qualification in Architecture.
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in architecture, design management, or project delivery roles.
- Proven work on large-scale residential, mixed-use, commercial, hospitality, or retail projects.
- Strong proficiency in design coordination and consultant oversight.
- Experience within developers, project management consultancies (PMC), or multidisciplinary consulting firms is advantageous.
