Job description
Job Overview
Join WSP Middle East's Building Supervision team in Dubai as an experienced Quantity Surveyor, where you'll contribute to significant projects by managing commercial aspects including cost control, contract administration, valuations, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure and value construction work for payment certification processes.
- Review contractors' payment applications thoroughly.
- Assist in assessing project variations and handling contractual claims.
- Prepare detailed cost reports and commercial summaries.
- Keep accurate records of site instructions, variation orders, and commercial correspondence.
- Support the process of final account preparation.
- Examine Bills of Quantities and contract documents.
- Participate in site inspections and attend commercial meetings.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with contractors, consultants, and client representatives.
- Aid senior commercial staff in contract administration tasks.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Civil Engineering.
- Seven to ten years of pertinent experience, specifically in building construction supervision or consultancy roles.
- Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and other standard contract forms.
- Hands-on experience with measurements, valuations, and drafting cost reports.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and commercial management software tools.
- Strong analytical abilities alongside excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience working within the UAE or GCC region is highly preferred.
