Job description
Overview
We seek a detail-oriented and commercially focused Demand Planner to join our Supply Chain team. This role is integral to producing accurate demand forecasts that facilitate effective production planning, inventory control, and business growth. This position offers flexible hybrid work arrangements, allowing up to 50% remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and maintain demand forecasts using historical sales data, customer insights, market trends, and promotional plans.
- Collaborate closely across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, Operations, and Supply Planning to ensure demand plans reflect actual market dynamics and priorities.
- Support Integrated Business Planning (IBP) by offering demand insights, scenario analyses, and informed recommendations that aid strategic decision-making.
- Partner with Supply Planning and Operations to align product availability with inventory investment while proactively managing risks related to stock levels and demand shifts.
- Assist new product launches and promote continuous enhancements in forecasting tools, processes, systems, and reporting capabilities.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates are proactive, data-driven professionals with relevant experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain Planning, Forecasting, Inventory Management, or allied fields. The role demands strong analytical prowess, excellent communication, and the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in Excel and experience with forecasting or planning software such as SAP and Blueshift is advantageous. Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, retail, or consumer goods sectors will be a plus.
