Delivery Driver

About the Role

G4S, part of Allied Universal and the world's largest secure solutions provider, is hiring Delivery Drivers for its Cash Solutions division in Bristol, England. This division specialises in secure logistics, including cash transportation, cash processing, ATM and cash centre outsourcing, and secure storage. The Delivery Driver position is pivotal to ensuring cash and valuables are safely delivered and collected from customers within scheduled timeframes. This role demands punctuality, reliability, strong communication skills, and flexibility, including working weekends and bank holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate as part of a specialized delivery team, ensuring timely deposit and collection of cash and valuables according to trip schedules.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and promptly report any security or mechanical issues; adhere to emergency protocols as necessary.
• Verify consignments are accurate and efficiently manage loading and unloading at branches and secure locations.
• Maintain professional appearance in company uniform and consistently use personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Demonstrate courteous and professional interactions with customers, colleagues, and the public at all times.
• Participate in ongoing training to develop skills and advance within the company.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Hold a valid UK driving licence (C category drivers preferred).
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English.
• Adequate numeracy skills and the capability to follow detailed instructions and operate under tight deadlines.
• Previous driving experience and familiarity with IT/computer systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Physically able to handle lifting and moving heavy items; must pass a medical evaluation including occupational health assessment.
• Meet stringent security criteria, including passing criminal record, credit, and identity checks, providing a verifiable 10-year history, and complying with airport-style security searches.
• An SIA licence is desirable but not required.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting pay of £14.87 per hour, increasing to £15.17 after 6 months, and £15.47 after 12 months, plus applicable night allowances.
