About the Role
This position as a CCTV Operator involves managing surveillance systems to protect individuals, assets, and infrastructure at diverse client sites across South India including cities like Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, and others. You will be a part of the Security Operations and Technical Surveillance department, reporting to supervisors such as Control Room In-charge or Security Supervisors. The operator will conduct continuous monitoring, detect incidents in real-time, document events, and facilitate emergency responses through CCTV systems integrated with access controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple live video feeds from control rooms, ensuring vigilant coverage of critical areas like entrances, warehouses, and data centers.
- Promptly inform on-site security teams about suspicious or unsafe activities or emergencies.
- React efficiently to unusual occurrences such as intrusions, alarms, unauthorized entries, or loitering.
- Maintain and handle video documentation following strict protocols for submission and custody.
- Support site responders during ongoing incidents by directing through visual monitoring.
- Monitor access control systems integrated with CCTV to verify personnel and vehicle authorization, identify tailgating, forced entries, or violation of visitor policies.
- Ensure systematic recording and secure storage of footage in accordance with retention policies, and furnish archived videos upon legitimate requests.
- Perform regular inspections of CCTV hardware including cameras, DVR/NVR systems, monitors, network switches, and backup power units, coordinating repairs and maintenance as needed.
- Record daily logs, shift transitions, and incident reports diligently while upholding confidentiality of sensitive visual data.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum education: Completion of 12th grade; diploma in Electronics, IT, or Computer Applications is advantageous.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years in CCTV operation or control room environments, preferably within shopping centers, technology parks, industrial settings, healthcare, or logistics.
- Age range: 21 to 45 years.
- Languages: Proficiency in English plus a regional language (Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam) relevant to the deployment location.
- Basic computer literacy, including use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and CCTV management software.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong vigilance and situation awareness.
- Knowledge of analog and IP camera technologies, DVR/NVR recording systems, and Video Management Software (VMS).
- Ability to remain composed during emergencies and make sound judgments.
- Effective communication and team collaboration skills.
- High standards of integrity, ethics, and confidentiality.
- Capability to work in 12-hour rotating shifts covering day and night duties.
Working Conditions
- Rotational shifts of 8 to 12 hours, including weekends and holidays as per roster.
- Work environment is primarily indoors in air-conditioned control rooms.
- Provision of uniforms and identification cards depending on client/site policies.

- Salary adheres to the Minimum Wages for skilled category applicable in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Kerala.
