Deli Bakery Team Associate

Overview

The Deli Bakery Team Associate plays a crucial role in delivering excellent customer service by upholding Walmart's core values. This position involves maintaining and organizing the Bakery and/or Deli sections, assisting with inventory stocking, and processing sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the department’s organization by zoning product shelves, tables, and storage areas, ensuring items are correctly placed.
• Rotate stock regularly and inspect for products that are expired or nearing expiry.
• Ensure all merchandise is clearly signed and accurately priced to Walmart standards.
• Comply with all cold chain procedures, including thermometer calibration, temperature monitoring, safe food handling, product rotation, and expiration date management.
• Process orders for deli merchandise and prepare hot food items per requests.
• Use utensils to prepare deli foods, including cooking chicken in rotisserie ovens and replenishing prepared side dishes for display.
• Prepare bakery items according to specific thawing and baking instructions to maintain quality and appearance, covering bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Follow established protocols for ordering, clearance, price adjustments, labeling, and signage.

Additional Information
