Deli Bakery Team Associate

Position Summary

The Deli Bakery Team Associate role involves delivering exceptional customer service aligned with Walmart's core values. The associate is responsible for organizing, stocking, and selling Bakery and Deli products while maintaining department standards.

Key Duties

• Organize and zone the department to ensure that product displays, racks, and shelves are orderly and items are correctly placed.
• Manage stock rotation and regularly check for expired or outdated products.
• Ensure all merchandise is clearly marked with accurate signage and pricing.
• Follow all cold chain regulations including thermometer calibrations, temperature monitoring, proper food handling, and adhering to sell-by and expiration date rules.
• Take and prepare customer orders for Deli items, including hot foods, using proper utensils and equipment such as the rotisserie oven.
• Fill prepared side dishes and place them on display appropriately.
• Prepare Bakery items by accurately following thawing and baking instructions to maintain product quality and appearance for breads, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Handle ordering procedures, clearance sales, markdowns, and labeling accurately according to store policies.

Compensation

This position offers a starting wage of $18.05 per hour.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old to be eligible for employment.
