Data Scientist - Python (Remote)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Data Scientist skilled in Python for a full-time remote position. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality Python code that trains and optimizes AI models, performing evaluations to benchmark and improve their performance. Collaboration with researchers and annotators will be key to implementing reinforcement learning using human feedback and enhancing reward models.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, design, and support efficient, high-standard code for AI model training and optimization.
• Perform performance evaluations of AI models and analyze results to drive model improvements.
• Assess and rank AI model responses to user queries across various fields ensuring they meet established standards.
• Provide detailed reasoning and technical explanations for evaluations demonstrating clear logic and expertise.
• Lead supervised fine-tuning activities, including the development and maintenance of high-quality, task-specific datasets.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Strong proficiency in Python focused on data analysis and model building.
• Experience in data science and machine learning methodologies.
• Ability to apply business insight and analytical skills to extract meaningful information from public datasets.
• Expertise in debugging and producing comprehensive technical documentation.
• Excellent communication skills for clearly conveying rationale and logic within Jupyter notebooks or similar platforms.
