Role Overview

We seek a seasoned Data Lead to spearhead initiatives across data governance, management, acquisition, and ingestion. This leadership role will ensure data practices adhere to quality and security standards, guiding technical teams in delivering scalable, business-focused solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct data governance, management, acquisition, and ingestion activities.
• Manage data collection, integration, storage, and overall lifecycle.
• Design and deploy strategies for data management and governance.
• Implement data acquisition protocols that ensure proper sanitization, structuring, and optimization.
• Guarantee compliance with privacy and security in data integration and issue resolution workflows.
• Lead cross-disciplinary teams including Data Architects, Engineers, and Scientists.
• Oversee integration tasks, particularly relating to customer onboarding processes.
• Develop and maintain data-sharing agreements with internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive data-related operational and strategic business decisions collaboratively across stakeholders.
• Engage actively in data governance forums and committees.
• Promote ongoing enhancements in data architecture, management capabilities, and lifecycle processes.
• Champion effective data use to align with organizational goals and support data-driven decision-making.

Required Skills and Experience

• Comprehensive expertise in Data Governance, Enterprise Data Management, Business Intelligence, and advanced analytics.
• Background in ICT, digital platforms, or smart-city projects is considered advantageous.
• Proven leadership capability to direct multidisciplinary data teams with clarity and focus.
• Deep understanding of the strategic importance and business impact of data management and monetization.
• Capability to evaluate data management practices from both technical and commercial perspectives.
• Track record of managing large-scale multi-stakeholder programs with effective leadership and delivery.
• Strong proficiency in Big Data Engineering and Cloud-based Data Platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with machine learning and AI principles and their application.
• Expert knowledge in Data Architecture, Data Governance, including master data management, data quality assurance, security, and integration techniques.
• Highly developed skills in stakeholder engagement, communication, and decision-making.
