About the Role
DSV, a leading global logistics and transport company, is expanding its team and seeking a Customs Assistant to join its customs division based in Naas, County Kildare, Ireland.
The position is full-time with working hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with additional work on some Saturday mornings compensated with flexible time off.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with customers to obtain accurate information required for customs processing.
- Prepare cost estimates and quotations accurately.
- Liaise with Revenue authorities to ensure compliance with customs regulations.
- Receive and process import documentation diligently.
- Handle import customs clearance procedures efficiently.
- Manage export customs declarations.
- Track and monitor customs entries until their conclusion.
Candidate Profile
- Prior experience in freight forwarding with exposure to Non-EU country dealings.
- Ability to thrive in a target-oriented team environment.
- Self-driven, motivated individual with initiative.
- Proficient in using software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills along with active listening abilities.
