About the Role

Join DSV, a global leader in transport and logistics, as an Operations Assistant based in Naas, County Kildare, Ireland. This full-time onsite position operates on a rotating schedule of 37.5 hours per week spanning Monday to Friday with shifts from 07:00 to 15:30, 08:00 to 16:30, and 10:00 to 18:30. The role focuses on ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of cargo while adhering to company procedures and legal requirements including Health & Safety standards, aiming to meet client satisfaction and company profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise all facets of distribution logistics planning.
  • Assist with haulage scheduling across national transportation routes.
  • Maintain adherence to company quality standards and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Handle administrative tasks such as event coordination, invoicing, document filing, and processing queries and claims, ensuring departmental compliance.
  • Promptly address general inquiries and escalate issues when required.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal teams, customers, drivers, suppliers, and other branches.
  • Optimize vehicle fleet usage to maximize efficiency.
  • Prepare precise paperwork for warehouse personnel to facilitate timely cargo handling.
  • Compile reports and KPIs as requested by management.
  • Perform any additional tasks as reasonably assigned by supervisors.

Candidate Profile

  • Strong understanding of the logistics and transport industry.
  • Customer-centric approach with dedication to excellent service delivery.
  • Skilled in computer systems and transport operations software.
  • Knowledgeable about drivers’ hours regulations and transport compliance.
  • Able to multitask effectively and perform under pressure.
  • Good problem-solving capabilities and sound geographic knowledge of Ireland.
