Job Overview
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) Lead is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in designated areas while offering guidance and support to custodial staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out janitorial tasks and complete all duties indicated on the daily schedule.
- Provide direction and assistance to custodians under the Custodial Supervisor’s guidance.
- Support Custodial Supervisor with staff scheduling and training when required.
- Operate motorized cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor and manage equipment inventory, including maintenance and repairs.
- Coordinate cleanup and repair activities as necessary.
- Maintain the assigned areas through daily upkeep activities.
- Track supply inventory and assist in procuring cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Conduct inspections focused on quality, service, and safety standards.
- Report any safety hazards, incidents, or personnel issues promptly to the supervisor.
- Ensure proper usage of personal protective equipment and supplies by employees; correct risky behaviors and escalate to supervisor immediately.
- Offer suggestions for improvements and corrective measures in operational areas.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
- CPR, AED, and First Aid certification are essential.
- May require a valid driver’s license and forklift certification.
- Completion of all relevant safety and task training certifications.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to comprehend and follow instructions, procedures, and manuals accurately.
- Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Thorough knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment care, and chemical usage.
- Adeptness in sharing knowledge and working collaboratively with the team.
Physical Demands and Environment
- Must often be able to sit, talk, and listen as part of daily tasks.
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 35 pounds.
- The position takes place in a janitorial or cleaning environment with varied physical demands.
Compensation & Benefits
The hourly wage ranges from $17 to $18 per hour. The employer offers a comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees.
