Job Overview
The Customer Service Representative Lead is tasked with ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of designated areas while also guiding custodial staff in their daily routines.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out janitorial tasks according to assigned duties
- Complete all daily scheduled cleaning assignments
- Offer supervision and support to custodians as directed by the Custodial Supervisor
- Aid in scheduling and training custodial personnel when required
- Operate various motorized cleaning machines effectively
- Manage inventory, upkeep, and repairs of cleaning equipment
- Organize cleanup and necessary repairs promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of assigned workspaces daily
- Monitor and keep track of supply inventories
- Support Custodial Supervisor in acquisition of cleaning materials and apparatus
- Conduct quality, service, and safety inspections routinely
- Report incidents, hazards, and personnel issues to the supervisor
- Ensure employees use personal protective equipment and supplies properly
- Address unsafe behaviors immediately and inform the supervisor
- Make suggestions for improvement regarding cleaning and safety procedures
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1 to 2 years of related experience in custodial or facility maintenance roles
- CPR, AED, and First Aid certification mandatory
- Possession of a valid driver's license may be necessary
- Completion of all required safety and task-based training certifications
- Forklift certification could be required
- Strong ability to interpret instructions, manuals, and procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, tools, and compounds with safe usage
- Understanding of cleaning equipment maintenance and care
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- The role requires frequently sitting, talking, and listening, along with lifting or moving items up to 35 pounds
- The work environment involves routine exposure to cleaning-related tasks and materials
Work Schedule and Compensation
- Work hours: Monday to Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Hourly wage ranges from $16.50 to $17.50
