Position Overview
SBM Management Services, LP is currently seeking a dependable and hardworking Day Porter to join their team in Kuna, ID. This role requires dedication to outstanding customer satisfaction and effective teamwork. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and the ability to follow clear oral and written instructions, with sound judgment and communication capabilities. The position includes responsibilities that support cleanliness, safety, and maintenance throughout company facilities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform floor care including vacuuming, mopping, and carpet spot cleaning.
- Maintain surfaces by dusting, sanitizing, cleaning glass, mirrors and windows, polishing metal and wood, and cleaning blinds and draperies.
- Manage waste by emptying trash and recycling bins and transporting waste to designated disposal areas.
- Conduct light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and restocking supply areas.
- Adhere strictly to safety policies, company procedures, and utilize personal protective equipment appropriately.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while responding to supervision and following directions.
- Support event setups by moving small equipment, furniture, and tidying spaces such as lobbies and conference rooms.
- Assist janitorial staff with restroom and breakroom upkeep, cleaning elevators, spot cleaning upholstered furniture and carpets, and organizing supplies in storage areas.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Reliable transportation is mandatory.
- Education level achievable is less than high school with up to one month of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic literacy skills including reading simple words and sequences, clear handwriting, and simple verbal communication.
- Effective communication skills with coworkers, supervisors, and customers.
- Basic math proficiency including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and understanding of common measurement units (money, volume, weight, length, etc.).
- Valid driver's license, proof of vehicle registration, and insurance required if using a personal or company vehicle for work duties.
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous but not required.
Compensation and Work Schedule
This role offers hourly pay ranging from $15.50 to $16.50. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
