Customer Service Manager (Canada)

About the Role

Join Walmart Canada as a Customer Service Manager and develop your leadership and operational capabilities in a fast-moving retail setting. You will oversee front-end operations, ensuring outstanding customer service and fostering loyalty while maintaining operational standards and compliance with company programs to optimize store efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and security by enforcing safe work practices, emergency readiness, proper lifting methods, clean workspaces, and theft prevention protocols.
• Support customers and associates by professionally addressing and resolving their concerns to ensure a positive front-end experience.
• Manage front-end coverage by monitoring operations, coordinating associate breaks, and assisting registers to maintain a smooth customer flow.
• Provide training to associates on company systems, procedures, scanning accuracy, productivity goals, discount and safety programs.
• Oversee purchase, return, and exchange transactions, including approvals, error corrections, and adherence to policies.
• Ensure Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) system effectiveness by monitoring proper merchandise deactivation and handling of alarms.
• Manage cash operations including opening/closing registers, supplying change, maintaining cash levels, and auditing for accuracy.
• Promote Walmart initiatives such as credit card services, protection plans, charity efforts, and discount programs.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business requires.

Potential Challenges

• Effectively manage a high volume of tasks in a fast-paced environment, including overnight shifts, to maintain energy and focus.
• Handle physical demands such as standing for long periods, bending, and lifting items up to 50 lbs., and repetitive stocking and organizing tasks while maintaining attention to detail.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $17.70 CAD.

• Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
