Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and proper zoning of the grocery department to ensure a customer-ready environment at all times.
• Regularly rotate stock and promptly remove expired or damaged items to uphold product freshness and quality.
• Verify that all products are correctly priced and signed, adhering to procedures for ordering, clearance, markdowns, labeling, and pricing.
• Comply with food safety, handling, sanitation, and cleaning protocols to maintain a hygienic and secure work environment.
• Keep the department fully stocked, including merchandise and picks, perform necessary downstocking, apply product protection measures, and set up modular displays such as flex modulars and new shelf signage.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe, clean, and hazard-free workplace.
• Remain flexible in working hours by being available for various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support store operations and customer service quality.

Challenges in the Role

• Effectively manage overnight shifts and plan your work schedule to maintain focus and energy.
• Handle a fast-paced workload with efficiency, ensuring timely and accurate completion of restocking and recovery tasks.
• Perform physical duties such as standing for long periods, bending, and lifting items weighing up to 20 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Consistently perform repetitive tasks like stocking and zoning with attention to detail to maintain store standards.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $17.75 CAD.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
