About the Role
Join Walmart Canada as a Customer Service Manager and gain valuable leadership and operational experience in a dynamic retail environment. In this position, you will oversee front-end operations to ensure outstanding customer service, foster a welcoming shopping experience, and strengthen customer loyalty. You will also ensure the store complies with company policies and operational standards, contributing to smooth and effective store management. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and enforce safety protocols, emergency procedures, including proper lifting techniques, cleanliness, managing closed registers, responding to emergency alerts, theft prevention, and evacuation readiness.
- Address customer and associate issues professionally, offering guidance and support to resolve concerns and enhance the front-end experience.
- Supervise front-end operations by ensuring adequate associate coverage, coordinating breaks, and supporting registers to keep customer flow smooth and efficient.
- Train associates on company systems, procedures, scanning accuracy, productivity targets, discount and EAS processes, safety protocols, and company initiatives.
- Monitor purchase, return, and exchange transactions for compliance with company rules, provide necessary approvals, rectify errors, and confirm proper procedures are followed.
- Support electronic article surveillance (EAS) by ensuring proper deactivation of merchandise, accurate alarm handling by greeters, and completion of related logs.
- Manage cash operations including register preparation, cash supply for cashiers, maintaining appropriate cash levels, and performing audits to ensure register accuracy.
- Promote and oversee company programs such as credit card services, protection plans, charity efforts, and discounts for associates and customers.
- Demonstrate flexibility by working various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required to maintain consistent store operations and customer satisfaction.
Challenges
- Effectively handle high workloads in fast-paced settings, including overnight hours, planning to stay alert and productive.
- Manage large volumes of restocking and recovery tasks with efficiency and accuracy.
- Perform physically demanding tasks like standing for long periods, bending, and lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs., as well as repetitive tasks such as stocking and organizing products consistently.

Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this position is $17.70.
