Assistant Store Manager

Role Overview

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily store activities, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and meeting sales targets. This role assumes managerial duties in the Store Manager's absence.

Key Duties

• Support the Store Manager with daily operations and staff management.
• Participate in product presentation, shelf replenishment, and receiving/unpacking daily shipments.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues.
• Train, coach, and develop team members.
• Manage cash handling along with store opening and closing procedures when required.
• Delegate tasks to the team and ensure store safety and cleanliness.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards.
• Responsible for recruitment and performance management processes.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Minimum of two years’ experience in retail commerce.
• At least two years in a supervisory or management position.
• High availability for shifts including days, evenings, and weekends.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to prioritize and work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
