Job description
Role Overview
Joining the management team, the Team Leader assists the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in managing day-to-day retail store functions.
Daily Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead store staff by offering direction and support.
- Oversee store merchandising activities, including stocking shelves and processing new shipments.
- Ensure high standards of customer service are consistently delivered.
- Manage manager-on-duty duties such as handling employee breaks and attendance tracking.
- Execute and uphold visual merchandising guidelines within the store.
- Promptly address and resolve customer complaints and concerns.
- Maintain safety protocols and cleanliness throughout the store environment.
- Carry out cash handling, and assist with opening and closing store operations when required.
- Engage in inventory checks and play an active role in staff training.
- Follow through on delegated responsibilities and participate in recruitment and staff performance assessments.
Qualifications and Skills
- At least one year of retail experience is needed.
- Experience of one to two years in a supervisory capacity.
- A strong drive for career advancement within the company.
- Availability that covers various shifts including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Effective leadership paired with excellent communication abilities.
- Capability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced retail setting.
