Consumables Associate

Position Overview

Joining Walmart Canada as a Consumables Associate provides an opportunity to enhance your retail and customer service skills. This role involves facilitating the efficient movement of merchandise from the stockroom to the sales floor as part of a dynamic team, all while maintaining a safe and organized environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and courteously.
• Assist shoppers by promoting products, helping locate merchandise, and supporting their buying decisions.
• Address and resolve customer concerns, escalating issues to management when necessary.
• Keep salesfloors tidy by stocking, rotating products, removing damaged or expired items, arranging displays, and updating price labels.
• Handle claims and returns properly, safeguard merchandise, identify items with high shrink rates, and ensure workplace safety according to company policies.
• Receive and stock inventory using appropriate equipment, complete related paperwork and logs.
• Direct specific service and transactional requests to Customer Service Managers as required.
• Perform tasks such as stocking, picking, downstocking when applicable, applying product protection, and arranging modular displays including flex modulars and new shelf caps.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this role is $16.90.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
