Job description
Job Overview
This position entails operating company vehicles to perform efficient and courteous package delivery and pickup services. The role includes ensuring shipments meet FedEx service standards and providing customer service during deliveries. The vehicle types driven are not subject to section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must possess at least a high school diploma or GED.
- No prior work experience required.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years old.
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs and maneuver heavier packages using equipment or help from others.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in reading and speaking English adequately to comprehend traffic signs, communicate with traffic officials, and respond properly to inquiries, following FMCSA guidelines.
- Must hold a valid license for the assigned vehicle type.
Working Conditions
- This non-covered safety-sensitive role requires constant alertness and adherence to safety protocols.
- A neat appearance is required due to frequent customer interaction.
Compensation and Schedule
- Hourly pay of $22.10 plus an additional $2.00 per hour premium.
- Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:15 AM to 3:45 PM.
