Job description
Job Overview
We are seeking a professional driver/operator to handle company vehicles, providing timely, courteous, and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. The role entails ensuring shipments comply with FedEx service standards while delivering excellent customer service and performing other related tasks as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Hold a valid license appropriate to the assigned vehicle type.
- Capable of lifting packages weighing up to 50 lbs and maneuvering heavier packages safely with proper equipment or assistance.
- Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and clear verbal communication abilities.
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance suitable for customer interactions.
- Meet the standards specified under section 391 of Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations.
- Complete a mandatory medical examination compliant with FMCSA or FAA requirements.
- Work in a constant state of alertness, prioritizing safety.
- Be at least 21 years old.
- Have sufficient English reading and speaking skills to comprehend traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety personnel, and respond to official inquiries in line with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
Work Schedule and Compensation
- Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 6:15 AM to 3:45 PM.
- Compensation includes $22.10 per hour plus a $2.00 hourly premium for all hours worked.
