Job Description
This position entails operating company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages efficiently and courteously. The employee is responsible for verifying that shipments meet FedEx's service standards and must provide related customer service. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum education requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Possession of a valid license for the assigned type of vehicle is mandatory.
- Must be able to lift packages weighing up to 50 pounds and handle heavier packages using suitable equipment or assistance.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills are essential.
- A neat and professional appearance is demanded as the role involves customer interactions.
- Compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (Section 391) is necessary.
- A medical examination consistent with FMCSA or FAA standards is required; this position is non-covered safety-sensitive.
- Candidates must maintain alertness and adhere to safety procedures.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years old.
- Proficiency in reading and speaking English to comprehend traffic signals, communicate with traffic authorities, and respond appropriately to official directions is necessary.

Compensation and Schedule
- The hourly wage is set at $21.05.
- Work hours are Monday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM and Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
