Overview

In the role of a Courier/DOT-2 operator, you will be responsible for driving and operating company vehicles to ensure the efficient and courteous delivery and pickup of packages. Your duties will include verifying shipments align with Federal Express service standards and providing essential customer service as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles safely for package delivery and collection.
• Ensure shipments comply with FedEx features of service during pickups and drop-offs.
• Deliver exceptional customer service as part of daily interactions.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Hold a high school diploma or GED.
• Possess a valid license suitable for the type of vehicle assigned.
• Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 pounds and use appropriate equipment or assistance for heavier packages.
• Strong verbal communication skills and the capability to maintain good interpersonal relations.
• Neat and professional appearance, as frequent customer contact is expected.
• Meet the criteria specified in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR).
• Pass a medical examination compliant with FMCSA or FAA standards.
• Maintain constant alertness and adhere to safety standards while operating vehicles.
• Be aged at least 21 years.
• Understand and communicate in English sufficiently to interpret traffic signs, interact with traffic safety officials, and respond appropriately to inquiries, following FMCSA guidelines.
