Courier / DOT-4 Driver

Role Overview

Operate company vehicles to provide prompt and courteous delivery and collection of packages. Ensure shipments comply with FedEx service standards and assist customers accordingly. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must hold a valid license appropriate for the assigned vehicle type.

Skills and Abilities

• Capable of lifting weights up to 50 lbs and maneuvering heavier packages safely with equipment or assistance.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Professional appearance due to customer interaction.
• Must satisfy Section 391 safety regulations under Federal Motor Carrier guidelines.
• Pass a medical examination as mandated by FMCSA or FAA.
• Must maintain constant alertness and ensure safety in all duties.
• Minimum age requirement of 21 years.
• Proficient in English to interpret traffic signs, communicate with traffic authorities, and comply with official requests.

Preferred Information

• Potential reassignment within a 50-mile radius of the current station based on operational requirements.
• Work schedule includes five days per week at the FedEx location.

Compensation and Other Details

Pay ranges from $21 to $25 per hour depending on various factors such as experience, tenure, and location.
