Position Overview

We are seeking a Cost Manager to join our Real Estate team in Dublin. This role involves working closely with clients on several landmark projects. Candidates with construction experience—whether from main contracting or consulting—who are collaborative and proactive are encouraged to apply. The role demands guiding both clients and contractors through cost management processes on notable developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support feasibility studies and develop procurement documentation.
  • Conduct estimating and cost planning, including preparation and presentation of final cost plans.
  • Manage tendering and procurement processes, including overseeing pre-qualification stages.
  • Handle post-contract cost variances and administer change control procedures effectively.
  • Perform comprehensive cost checks and valuations on medium to large projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Generate monthly post-contract cost reports and present findings to clients.
  • Contribute to value engineering activities to optimize project costs.
  • Lead negotiations to finalize project accounts.
  • Collaborate with clients and consultants throughout all phases of the project.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Demonstrated success providing cost management or quantity surveying services across full project lifecycles.
  • Professional accreditation such as RICS or equivalent is preferred.
  • Extensive experience working within the Irish construction market.
  • Degree or Higher National Certificate (HNC) level education in a relevant discipline.
