Cost Manager (MEP) - Data Centre

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced MEP Cost Manager to support a significant Data Centre project in Doha, Qatar. This role involves overseeing all cost management activities related to MEP packages, from initial cost estimating through to final account settlement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage pre- and post-contract cost responsibilities for MEP packages, including estimating, planning, procurement, tender preparation and analysis, contract administration, managing variations and changes, and final account reconciliation.
• Develop and oversee detailed MEP cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans during all phases of the project.
• Collaborate with design teams to ensure the MEP designs are economically viable and aligned with budget goals.
• Administer the procurement processes for MEP work, including preparing tender documents, conducting tender analysis, evaluating bids, and recommending contracts.
• Provide continuous cost control, financial reporting, forecasting, and commercial advice throughout project delivery.
• Evaluate and control variations, claims, and change orders, ensuring precise valuation and assessment of cost impacts.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Between 5 and 15 years of relevant experience post-graduation.
• Proven track record managing MEP costs on large-scale buildings, mission-critical facilities, or Data Centre projects.
• Professional certification such as MRICS is considered advantageous.
• Proficient in MS Office with advanced skills in MS Excel.
