Role Overview
Due to expansion and continued client success, the Adelaide Project Management team seeks a Project Director to join its senior leadership. This role requires managing large-scale real estate projects, balancing commercial priorities while leading a team, and working closely with the Director for Project Management in South Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead significant real estate projects acting as the primary client liaison.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships, resolve issues, and drive projects to completion.
- Oversee the design process to align with client expectations and requirements.
- Examine project plans, specifications, timelines, costs, discrepancies, and anticipate construction challenges.
- Ensure adherence to project safety and environmental standards.
- Manage schedules, assess risks, and provide regular reporting.
- Control project budgets, offering recommendations to maintain financial goals.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- A recognised degree in a relevant technical discipline such as Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management.
- 10 to 15 years of professional experience in major health, retail, commercial, or mixed-use development projects.
- Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure and fast-paced environments.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities to guide and develop project teams.
- Strong commercial acumen with business development skills is highly regarded.
- Self-motivated and passionate about delivering excellent client outcomes.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft software is essential.
- Technical expertise to lead and manage complex projects and programs serving as key client contact.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including report and bid writing proficiency.
