Cost Control Supervisor

Overview

JW Marriott in Dubai is seeking a dedicated Cost Control Supervisor to oversee inventory management and cost analysis within food, beverage, and retail departments. This role demands physical inventories, detailed analysis of product mixes, margins, and guest preferences to guide operational decisions, along with support in point of sale system management and inventory receipt documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct physical inventories regularly for food, beverage, and retail sectors.
• Analyze product mix, profit margins, and guest preference data to aid operational teams in understanding merchandising impacts on revenue.
• Assist in updating prices, menu items, and user profiles within the POS system.
• Accurately record receipt of all consumables and non-consumable items into inventory and purchasing systems.
• Investigate discrepancies in measurement units and item price variations as required.
• Manage inventory requisitions through the integrated purchasing system.
• Support calculation of cost of sales ratios.
• Maintain master cost files and ensure accuracy of receipts.
• Perform random inspections to confirm proper and secure storage of all products.
• Adhere strictly to company policies, including professional appearance and confidentiality protocols.
• Communicate clearly and professionally in all interactions and documentations.
• Fulfill general physical requirements of the job involving handling objects up to 10 pounds.
• Foster positive workplace relationships and contribute to team objectives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum educational requirement is a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least three years of relevant experience in a similar cost control or inventory management role.
• No supervisory experience required.
