Opportunity Overview

Take a pivotal role in the commercial delivery of New Zealand's largest public-private partnership transport initiative — the Northland Corridor Warkworth to Te Hana - Ara Tūhono project. This initiative aims to improve connectivity, enhance safety, and stimulate regional growth, leaving a long-lasting positive legacy.

Role Responsibilities

• Manage risk related to contracts and supply chain in alignment with commercial policies.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and supply chain partners.
• Prepare tender documentation, assess proposals, and conduct contract negotiations.
• Implement value-for-money principles during procurement and throughout project execution.
• Identify potential probity risks and prioritize ethics in decision-making processes.
• Generate precise monthly reports detailing the commercial performance of the project.
• Ensure adherence to legal, financial, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor's degree in law, commerce, construction, engineering, or finance.
• Demonstrated experience managing commercial and contractual elements on large-scale projects.
• In-depth understanding of procurement methods and contract law.
• Proven negotiation skills with strong financial literacy.
• Effective communication abilities for liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders.
