Project Overview

Join us in contributing to New Zealand's largest transport infrastructure project, the Northland Corridor Warkworth to Te Hana - Ara Tūhono. This project aims to boost connectivity, enhance safety, and foster regional development, leaving a significant legacy for future generations.

Role Summary

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Cost Controller will be responsible for monitoring, analysing, and managing project financials to ensure the successful delivery of the Northland Corridor project. This position demands collaboration with the delivery team on schedule progress, cost forecasts, risk and change management, as well as contract and procurement oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and report on critical path milestones and schedule progress.
• Oversee cost codes, budgets, and monthly forecasting variances.
• Review daily production data and productivity metrics.
• Identify and maintain documentation of project risks and opportunities.
• Manage change requests that influence project timelines and costs.
• Support procurement processes and track subcontractor deliverables.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of records across cost management platforms.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Degree or diploma in accounting, finance, quantity surveying, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in cost control, project controls, or project accounting.
• Deep understanding of budgeting, financial forecasting, and reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and project cost management tools.
