Job Overview
This position requires a highly skilled professional to oversee the complete bid management cycle for IT Managed Services. The role involves qualifications, bid planning, content creation, review, and submission of proposals, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance standards.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage all stages of bid management including qualification, planning, proposal drafting, review processes, and final submission.
- Support decision-making related to bids by preparing structured summaries that cover key evaluation criteria, unique competitive advantages, risk analysis with mitigation strategies, assumptions, dependencies, Scope of Work alignment, pricing frameworks, payment terms, and compliance considerations.
- Draft technical and commercial proposals targeting IT Managed Services such as Service Desk, Cloud, Infrastructure, Security Operations Center (SOC/NOC), Security, and Application Managed Services.
- Create clear, persuasive technical documents and proposals in both Arabic and English that ensure clarity and adherence to compliance.
- Develop detailed bid content including Scope of Work, solution explanations, service delivery methodologies, transition planning, assumptions, constraints, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), commercial terms, team profiles, references, and success case studies.
- Ensure proposals and contracts explicitly define SLAs, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as well as penalty and reward frameworks.
- Formulate and package Managed Services offerings into definitive sales and customer-facing documentation.
- Design proposals for Master Framework Agreements (MFA) tailored for Managed Services, encompassing modular pricing, service catalogs that scale, and flexible engagement terms.
- Create professional diagrams and visualizations that represent technical architectures, service models, procedural flows, and delivery strategies.
- Prepare and deliver customized technical presentations and sales pitches suitable for audiences including executives, business leaders, and technical teams.
- Lead presales initiatives by organizing solution presentations, conducting detailed requirements workshops, and assisting solution teams.
- Collaborate with teams across delivery, operations, finance, and legal departments to ensure compliance and capability alignment.
- Conduct thorough reviews of bids, generate bid briefs, and organize workshare agreements with internal and external partners.
- Maintain and update sales collateral, proposal templates, and reusable bid content to streamline the proposal development process.
- Implement quality assurance measures to guarantee proposals meet standards for consistency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Drive ongoing enhancements in bid management processes by leveraging lessons learned and embracing industry best practices.
- Keep abreast of trends in Managed Services markets and competitor offerings to enhance proposal competitiveness and positioning.
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience Requirements
- At least 8 to 10 years of cumulative experience in IT or technology sectors, including a minimum of 4 years focused on bid management within Managed Services (covering Service Desk, ITSM, Cloud/Infrastructure, SOC/NOC, Application Services, or IT Outsourcing).
- Experience working with top-tier IT service providers such as TCS, Wipro, HCL, Infosys, Capgemini, IBM, DXC, Atos, or NTT Data is advantageous.
- In-depth understanding of Managed Services delivery frameworks including Service Desk, ITSM, SOC/NOC, Cloud & Infrastructure, Application Managed Services, and IT Outsourcing.
- Proven expertise in drafting proposals, commercial frameworks, service transition plans, SLA-centric operational models, and structuring service packages relevant to Managed Services.
- Demonstrated skill in negotiating, evaluating, and formulating SLA terms in contracts and request for proposals.
- Experience with developing proposals and submitting bids for Master Framework Agreements.
- Knowledge of IT governance and standards such as ITIL, COBIT, ISO 20000, ISO 27001, and cloud adoption frameworks.
