Job description
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead and expand our civil construction business in the Waikato region. This position is based in Hamilton and reports directly to the Regional Manager. You will play a crucial role as part of the regional leadership team, managing a substantial construction workforce.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for overseeing the execution of major capital and civil infrastructure projects. This includes managing commercial performance, fostering client relationships, spearheading business development, and ensuring operational excellence throughout the region.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven extensive experience in a similar capacity, with a strong emphasis on capital works.
- Sound knowledge of technical, contractual, and financial aspects related to construction and maintenance contracts.
- Experience in tendering processes, commercial management, budgeting, profit and loss oversight, and cost control.
- Strong business acumen complemented by business development skills.
- A degree in Civil Engineering is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability in mentoring and coaching teams, with excellent communication and relationship management capabilities.
