Due to ongoing growth and an expanding project portfolio, they seek an experienced Construction Estimator to join their team based in Dublin.

Role Overview

The Estimator will play a crucial role in preparing competitive bids and supporting pre-construction and commercial processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Compile comprehensive estimates and tender documents.
• Examine architectural drawings, technical specifications, and tender materials.
• Perform quantity take-offs and measurement calculations.
• Prepare and send enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers.
• Evaluate and compare received quotations.
• Identify potential commercial risks, exclusions, and business opportunities.
• Develop detailed pricing and cost component breakdowns.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams effectively.
• Contribute to project budget planning and assist in the smooth transition from tender to project execution.
• Manage multiple tender submissions and strict deadlines concurrently.

Requirements

• Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction, Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction estimating.
• Prior experience working with main contractors is preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and cost structures.
• Proficient in reading construction drawings and specification documents.
• Experienced in quantity take-offs and coordinating subcontractor procurement.
• Excellent commercial awareness, numerical proficiency, and analytical abilities.
• Highly organized with a keen eye for detail.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with estimating and construction-related software tools.

Compensation and Benefits
